Lake Rosebery

Murchison Highway, Tullah

The reflections will take your breath away.  This picturesque lake is surrounded by myrtle, sassafras and eucalypt forests and is managed as a wild trout fishery.

Lake Rosebery was created in 1983 and plays an important role in Tasmania's hydro-electric system. Exploring the lake on kayak you can feel like there's no one else in the world but you. Bring your own or hire kayaks locally from the Tullah Lakeside Lodge.

For those not wanting to venture onto the water, the beautiful lake views can be seen from a walking track along one side of the lake and from the boat ramp.  You may even spot a platypus.
