Lyell Highway (A10), Queenstown
Take a short walk on the edge of a mountain to discover a seasonal 50 metre waterfall at the foot of Mount Owen.
The falls are best seen after heavy rain or in the winter/spring period but even during summer you'll experience magnificent mountain views.
The walk is 1 kilometre, taking approximately 30 minutes, return and is suitable for those with no bushwalking experience. The boardwalk includes some steps and an incline. Sturdy footwear is a must, as is clothes suitable to the day.
There is a large, free parking area off the highway. The closest public toilets are located in Queenstown, 5 kilometres away.
