Welcome to the West Coast

Your adventure starts here

Round here, things aren't like they are on the mainland. They're not even like the rest of Tasmania. This is a different place. You'll encounter the raw, the untouched, the untamed.

You'll come face-to-face with the powerful, eternally, undeniably wild. As it always has been. All it takes is a short trip. Just outside your comfort zone.

The Official Guide to Getting Lost

Our Story

THIS IS A DIFFERENT PLACE

A place where the land was formed by intense geological pressures. Where waves carved out a wild coast. Where the trees grew tall, and endured for thousands of years.

And it has a different history. Of ships hulls carved by hand. Of railways hacked through dense rainforest by inches. Of riches gained by ripping out the guts of the Earth.

Some of that is behind us now. Some is not. But this place, and our history, have shaped us, and taught us that when you strip away convenience and excess and pretence, you discover true nature....and you discover your true nature.
